Young Ponies

SEVERN TAP DANCER, foaled 2004, (Lianna's Dapper Dan x Stonecroft Storm Dancer by Ardmore Artist ) is the last foal of her mother whom I got from Marsha Himler. Storm Dancer, affectionately known as Peaches, was out of Severn Willful, a Severn Storm daughter. Willful was Marsha's premier broodmare for many years and was a granddaughter of *Criban Waaf , imported to Severn Oaks in 1948. Dancer is on indefinite lease to Molly Ford. She had a very cute bay colt in 2010 by Molly's young stallion Severn White Tie 'n Tails (Severn Merrymaker LOM x Alliance Designer Bow LOM) Salsa by name, has returned to Severn Oaks. SEVERN SEA BREEZE, foaled 2005 (Lianna's Dapper Dan x Charmsley Simoon by Severn West Wind LOM) had a rough start in life. A red bag baby, she was saved only because Sue Ward happened to be at the farm that afternoon and was able to deliver her. Then, she was a failure to thrive baby (reason unknown) that we supplemented with foalac for about 3 weeks. She has been fine since and as a yearling won the Welsh division of the Maryland Pony Breeders Futurity in 2006. Photo taken at that show.

SEVERN GLEE, a bay mare foaled 2007 (Severn Merrymaker LOM x Severn Joyful by Severn West Wind LOM) is a keeper because her mother is 25 years old (2010) and I have no other daughters. Glee is shown here at the MPB yearling futurity where she was second place in the Section A Welsh Division.

SRW SPREE'S SILVER SPLENDOR, grey filly foaled January, 2008 (Asgard Silver Dollar x Severn Festive Spree by Severn Merrymaker LOM). This filly, bred by the MacLeays, was Festive Spree's first foal and the MacLeays kindly alllowed me to purchase her. I had been unhappy to have sold Festive Spree since her dam Oak Orchard Joy had died. Young Spree has a very inquisitive personality and is a great addition to the herd.

SEVERN PINS 'N NEEDLES, grey filly foaled in May, 2009 (Severn Donegal x Alliance Designer Bow LOM). This lovely filly is being shown to help get her sire's LOM. She is the ninth filly (of 11 foals) out of her Dam. WPCSA 4th Place Section A filly in 2011.

SEVERN ATHENA, grey filly foaled in May, 2009

(Severn Merrymaker LOM x Severn Olympia by Severn West Wind LOM). Since I have sold Athena's two older sisters (Severn Circe and Severn Siren Song), I am hoping that Athena will be her mother's 3rd leg for her Dam LOM. We have quite a way to go to achieve that goal for Olympia, but Athena will help.

SEVERN CIARA, bay mare foaled May, 2007 (*Synod Dicky Bow LOM x Severn Powder Puff by *Rowfant Peanut). I realize that I do not have a recent photo of Ciara so here she is as a foal. Ciara has never been shown. I sent her out for schooling and was told that she is very quiet and will be a really great beginner's pony with more education
